About the Author Bertena Varney spent her collegiate career studying the supernatural and metaphysical in her history, mythology, sociology, and criminology classes. She would find anyway to include vampires, angels, and more into anything that she did. Her favorites studies were pop culture and mythology. She completed her academic career with a BA and MA in Social Science and Education and an MA in sociology and criminology.She has spent over 20 years working in higher education where she loves teaching classes that are strange and unusual such as the Sociology og Harry Potter, Horror Movies, and Comic Books.She is the author of Lure of the Vampire and Lure of the Vampire: Revamped and author and editor of Vampire News: Tasty Bits You Can Sink Your Fangs Into, co contributor of Vampire News: The Not So End Times Edition,Vampires Romance to Rippers Vol 1 and Vol. 2 and contributor to both The Witching Hour and Sirens Conference Compendium. Her role playing character was used by Elizabeth Loraine in a collaboration on a fiction novella titled, Lillian: A Vampire's Story.She has metaphysical journals available as well including Angel REiki, Reiki, Meditation, and Yoga Journals. She owns several businesses including a New You Self Care, Inner Bliss Spiritual Center, and The Divine Goddess School of Mystery all online but based out of her home in bowling Green, KY. She also makes appearances to libraries, colleges, and conventions to discuss her love for everything mysterious and magical.
