Everlasting Threads: Honoring Heritage and History
About the Author This labor of love is the end result of the vision of our organization's leadership to find an appropriate means to collect and display the beautiful work of art represented by the quilts designed, created and sewn by our members. There have been many attempts to define African American quilting. However, it is not limited to any specific design aesthetic or method because African American quilt artists leverage the full spectrum of quilt techniques, styles, fabrics and embellishments in unique ways. We are a blend of novice, intermediate and advanced quilters. The breadth of quilting styles in this book is amazing. Even more compelling are the stories each quilt tells and the inspiration that guided the quilt artist in its creation. Quilter's designs are presented in alphabetical order as each quilter's biography and quilt caption will intrigue you and lead you to eagerly turn the page to experience the next one and the next one. This book has given us an opportunity to share our individual stories and showcase a portion of our quilts and wearable art. It is also intended to honor the lives and the quilt history of our ancestors.

Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query asks Layer for nearest neighbors of the stored product vector — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
